“What does it look like to raise my children with an eternal perspective?”
It takes a village to raise a child.
“It takes a village to raise a child,” is an African proverb that proves to be true, especially when discipling our children in the Lord. We need other families to help us along the way. We need other families are in our stage of life and some who are empty nesters who have already been down the road we are traveling. If you live in the Orlando/Winter Park area and don’t have a village with whom to raise your children in the Lord, please join us.
As my good friend Nikki, a mother of two, writes in her blog article, Parenting with an Eternal Perspective, “The world is fallen and is such a difficult place to raise godly children, but thank God, He has given us a better place! There are so many pressures as parents to get everything right, to be everything your children need, to hold it all together, to do it all alone and not ask for help. But, parents, Jesus is the one who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17), and He is represented here on this earth as resting in a temple made up of many believers.” We need each other to disciple our children in the Lord!
At Reclaimed our families are growing together, learning together, and listening for guidance from God’s Word and his Spirit. “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:12). Come be one with us! Send us a message.
